Story
The work, selected by the 2022 NTT Emerging Artists Project and co-created by teams from Hong Kong and Taiwan, is derived from “Nieh Hsiao-chien” of “Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio”, illustrating the mysterious identities and relationships of two red-haired women.
Scarlet, who’d been living her life with her mother since her father passed away when she was young, looks very much alike Red, her twin sister. Thanks to Red, Scarlet was not lonely. According to their mother, Red was just a clone. Scarlet couldn’t bear to tell Red the truth. One night, a puppet player appeared in their dreams.
